Jahlon
The Fallon White and Joanna Beecher duo started what is now their mini empire label, Jahlon, at boarding school together. Making earrings out of fluro plastic, it wasn’t long before the entire school was wearing them.
They then moved onto necklaces. Before too long, Fallon’s dorm room became the pair’s studio and mini showroom! It was Jo’s family holiday to Thailand that shifted the girl’s hobby into a fully-fledged career in jewellery design. Thailand provided access to an abundance of glass and wooden beads, as well as the girls’ favourite material to work with: pearls. Just three weeks after her return back to Oz, both Jo and Fallon packed their bags and headed back to clean out the bead stores of Thailand.
One year on since its inception, Jallon has been steadily building up a number of stockists around Melbourne and Sydney and now Soma Fashion.
